Maple Granola
Granola is delightful, and it's even more enjoyable when you prepare it yourself. You can create it using just about any ingredients you have on hand. Whether you prefer it classic, nutty, fruity, or even coconut-flavored, the possibilities are endless. Personally, I love a nutty version, so here’s my recipe for nutty pecan granola!
Ingredients
Dry ingredients:
2 cups old fashion rolled oats
1/2 cup Chopped nuts or seeds
1 tbsp Chia seeds
Wet ingredients:
¼ cup Coconut oil
½ cup + 2 TBS Maple Syrup
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
¼ tsp Pink Salt
½ tsp Cinnamon
Honey (optional)
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, nuts, seeds and chia seeds.
In a separate bowl, whisk together all the remaining ingredients.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Bake for approximately 20 minutes until it turns lightly golden, stirring every 10 minutes the first time, then checking and mixing every 5 minutes after. For a chunkier granola, add a drizzle of honey during the last five minutes of baking.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool before eating. Enjoy it in smoothies, smoothie bowls, banana whips, or cereal—whatever you prefer!
